| Abstract A series of substituted chalcones were synthesized by the Calaisen-Schmidt condensation of substituted benzaldehydes and acetophenones. The reaction of these chalcones with phenyl hydrazine were studied under phase transfer catalysis (PTC) conditions employing tetrabutyl ammonium iodide (TBAI) as a catalysed to synthesize 1,3,5-pyrazolines. The structures of all products were elucidated by physical and spectroscopic methods. | ||
