Abstract
The problem of the current research has arisen in conducting an experimental study for the purpose of revealing the effect of (possession-ball) training exercises on some basic skills of young soccer players, and in order to reach an acceptable scientific explanation to solve the current study problem, we have come to mind asking the following question: Are the (possession) exercises On the ball) have a positive effect on the total of basic skills under discussion, the goal of the research is to reveal the impact of (ball possession) training exercises on some basic skills of football players, and to reveal the significance of statistical differences in a number of basic skills of football players between the experimental and control groups In the post test, The research community has deliberately identified the players of the Bright Future Youth Sports Club in football in Nineveh governorate for the football season (2019-2020), whose number is (30) players, and the research sample consisted of (20) players representing (%66.66) of the research community. The researchers concluded: 1- The training curriculum for ball possession exercises implemented by the experimental group has developed in all basic football skills 2- The experimental group that used ball possession exercises in the post tests outperformed the control group in all the basic skills that were dealt with in the research.
