| Professor Abdul Aziz al-Douri is considered one of the most prominent thinkers who studied history, wrote it, or rewrote it. The historical writing of al-Douri was a progressive goal that advances the Arab nation and liberates it from backwardness to occupy a prominent position among the developed nations.Dr. Abdulaziz views history as an important factor in clarifying identity and defining its reality, and it is considered a fundamental issue for the Arab nation. Moreover, our historian has remained faithful to national thought, searching for its historical roots in the Arab economy and society.Since Al-Douri is one of the pioneers of Iraqi and Arab historians in modern and contemporary history, it became necessary to study his approach to writing history. The research was divided into his life, the positions he held, his scientific activities, his membership in scientific institutions, his books and his death, as well as his reading of history, his criticism of Western approaches, and his approach in Writing history through his two books - Introduction to the History of the Origin of Islam and the Book of the Origins of the Science of History for the Ara | ||
