| The research aims to identify the level of performance - applied to the light of the required competencies for the teaching of geography and build a program to develop their performance in light of their needs it consisted sample of (30) students in fourth grade / Geography Department / Faculty of Education / University of Diyala.Card form has been designed for the purpose of calendar consisted of 30 items distributed at (8) areas or competencies has been a test of its stability, and revealed the results of the application and a weakness in the performance of students in the areas of educational methods and evaluation.In order to promote education and the teaching of geography should be the goal of teaching is teaching students how to think as he thinks scientists - geographers, but at a certain level, and to achieve this ambition felt researcher conducting this research and build a program to improve the performance of the research sample it might be a modest step towards this goal.Find the program has been approved and built based on the needs of the sample.
