Abstract
The research aims to uncover the level of knowledge of science teachers in the province of Diyala, with regard to concepts of physics that they study for their students to identify their needs to be take care of it in the program of academic preparation in teacher training and teachers, formed the research sample of (35) teachers of science teachers in the district of Baquba, and was search tool in the objective test of the type of multiple-choice and has been prepared carefully to measure accommodate science teachers to the concepts of physics that they study has as its validity and reliability, were the sample for this test and used the percentage of a statistical means of data of this research and found the results of this research that the level of knowledge of science teachers in Diyala province, the concepts of physics that they study the level of acceptable amounted to 6.57, while select researchers test of acceptance by (50%) and in the light of the outcome of this research provided researchers their proposals for further research complementary and recommended the need to hold training courses for teachers of science between the duration and the other focused on attributes and characteristics of the basic concept is changing so that it does not stay any confusion with one of them in these concepts.
