Abstract
laboratory tests have shown that some samples in the study area are not fit for drinking humans according to international specifications. We find that there are three elements that do not fall within the permitted limits, including total dysfunction, sulfate in reality, and calcium in reality. Therefore, it is necessary to treat them so that they become among the international standard specifications for drinking water, by comparing the quality of water in the study area with international specifications. They show that their suitability for agricultural, industrial, and construction uses varies, as a result of the rise of some dissolved ions, where the values of dissolved salts ranged from (390-1049 mg/L) to hydrogen rice (7-8.1) . Recommendations: Work to establish water treatment plants suitable for all human uses and establish a green belt by planting saline plants, such as olive and palm trees along Al- Tharthar Canal to reduce water evaporation, which raises the values of salts.
