Abstract
The study finds out that the annual growth rate of the population of the Haditha district fluctuated and fluctuated, reaching 2.9% for the period 1987-2021, according to the social, economic and political conditions that affect the area of study. It is necessary to take into consideration this population increase and to develop future plans and development programs to confront this growing growth. Recommendations: The study recommended several recommendations, including the necessity of finding a balanced and integrated population policy to achieve a fair distribution of the population of the study area among the administrative units through the establishment of development projects that work to reduce the population concentration in cities only. It is necessary to pay attention to the rural environment and to develop it and achieve a balance between the urban and rural populations through the establishment of social, economic and service development projects for the purpose of reducing the volume of rural migration to the cities.
