Objectives: Identify the most important conditions and natural factors that shaped the topographic features of morphotectonic processes in the desert environment within the study area. Knowing the types of morphotectonic indicators. Develop a classification of these indicators and determine the extent of their impact on human activities in the study area.
Method: The researcher followed the descriptive, analytical and deductive approaches, quantitative methods and modern geographical techniques to determine and measure the geomorphological impact.
Results: The region includes three types according to the final classification of tectonic indicators L.A.T. The results, which ranged between (1.5-2), fall within the category of high tectonic activity and include the following basins (Batekha, Jarwa). Likewise, the areas that ranged between (2-2.5) are within moderate tectonic activity and include the following basins (Al-Qaim, Al-Saqra). The results are greater than (2.5) for areas that are within low tectonic activity and include the following basins (Al-Zawiya, Al-Bazki, Al-Sajira, Al-Zalla, and Al-Zaidiyah). This indicator is shown based on the four indicators (T. AF. SL. VF) on which the research was based.
Conclusion: Geomorphological factors and processes greatly influence the classification of morphectonic indicators in the study area. There is a set of morpho-tectonic indicators that have been adopted in the study area that prevent some human activities in it. An appropriate classification of risk levels for morphotectonic processes was developed, and the factors affecting those levels within the study area were explained.
Recommendations: Investing the region in the agricultural and tourism fields by activating the role of water harvesting and relying on that water in the aforementioned activities. Encouraging investors by granting plots of land (agricultural contracts) with government financial support. Facilitating some administrative procedures for the purpose of facilitating farmers’ interest in investing in the study area. |
