Abstract
Energy sources are of great importance in the policies of industrialized countries, and given that the Gulf of Guinea region is rich in energy sources and mineral resources, China’s foreign policy has witnessed a clear development, especially after 2013, as China began to focus on strengthening its presence in the region, and it has increased its efforts in the region. It expanded the scope of its cooperation with countries in that region with the aim of consolidating relations, because due to the increasing Chinese economic growth, Chinese policy began to search for new regions to ensure the security of its resources and the continued growth of its economy. By relying on soft tools, China was able to establish an independent foreign policy for itself, and after that it turned to the advanced use of economic tools, investments and aid in its foreign policy by building relations of cooperation and partnership with the countries of the region on the basis of common interests. Search seeks; To answer the central question centered around what is Chinese foreign policy towards the Gulf of Guinea region? China's desire to rely on economic tools, investments, and aid was to modify its position and role in the region with the aim of achieving its foreign policy goals, and this was reflected in the increase in the aid program and economic support that China provides to the countries of the region.
