| Abstract | ||
| This research is considered one of the most important topics and problems that Iraq and most countries are experiencing during this period, which is the theft of scientific production by a person who worked hard and stayed up to provide and prepare scientific information, and this is contrary to Sharia law, morals, and the law ، Therefore, we will explain the concept of scientific theft, its forms, and its causes, and emphasize the researcher’s commitment not to steal scientific production and information ,The information must be documented to its owners, thus increasing and enhancing the student’s reputation on the one hand, and strengthening research on the other hand , Likewise, scientific theft is considered a crime in the Iraqi Penal Code in force and a crime from an Islamic perspective. The importance of the research emerges to us through the knowledge of scientific researchers in particular and members of society in general of the importance of scientific and intellectual value and its role in the advancement of society culturally, intellectually and scientifically, as well as knowledge of the moral and penal responsibility of the offender, and what methods can be followed to deter others. The problem of research arises for us through finding solutions to an academic problem that has been common in recent times, as it has spread widely among researchers in all universities, which negatively affects scientific progress in society, and the need for members of society to know that theft focuses on things and information as well, | ||
