Abstract
Artificial intelligence is one of the most important developments facing the international community at the present time, as this technology carries many advantages that it can offer to human civilization. However, it is accompanied by a great deal of risks that may undermine legal systems and human rights and freedoms, which creates a need to highlight Shedding light on the legal status of this technology within the framework of the rules of public international law, and accordingly, we will begin the research by explaining the dual nature of peaceful and non-peaceful applications of artificial intelligence, then moving on to address the international legal status of this technology while highlighting the most prominent trends of international law jurists in this context, and finally The most important implications that the rules of public international law may face in the age of artificial intelligence will be explained. The research problem is based on several questions, including the following: What is the nature of the uses of artificial intelligence? What is the legal status of artificial intelligence within the framework of public international law? What is the position of international law scholars in this regard? What is the impact of artificial intelligence on the rules of public international law?
