| Abstract | ||
| The protection of children's rights today has not been given sufficient attention by criminal legislation, and if it exists, it is characterized by weakness, lack of clarity and ambiguity, as evidenced by what reality has proven of the increase in cases of violence directed against children at the domestic and international levels and in various forms. This is what is seen through many crimes that children are exposed to and modern images that are somewhat more hideous than what we used to witness in the past. Rather, some of these crimes have taken the form of organized crimes and have become the reality of most societies, including Iraqi society, which is currently experiencing major problems in many social and legal aspects due to the events that the country has experienced. Rather, they have become familiar and widespread, striking their roots deep in Arab and Iraqi cultures as the crime of sexual exploitation and economic exploitation and what results from them, which prompted us to the necessity of not denying them and describing them and highlighting the legal aspects related to children's rights and the necessity of the intervention of the legislator and institutions to protect them. | ||
