Abstract
This study aims to compare the concentration of PNX-14 hormone in obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome with women without polycystic ovary syndrome, And study its relationship to some sex hormones. Materials and methods: This study was conducted at Al-Salam Teaching Hospital in Mosul for the period from (the first of July 2022 until the end of September 2022), where the study included (100) samples of women between the ages of (16-47) years, and (50) of them are obese and thin women with polycystic ovary syndrome and (50) of them are healthy women, The group of obese women was divided into three groups according to the degree of obesity (serious obesity, obesity of the first degree, obesity of the second degree).Both the group of sick women and the control group were divided into four age groups: (<20), (21-30) (31-40), (>40)) years .Serum samples were separated and stored in airtight tubes, then we measured the concentration of hormones (phoenixin-14, Luteinizing ,Follicle stimulator, Testosterone , Prolactin , Estrogen and Progestrone). An increase in the concentration of luteinizing hormone, estrogen, rolactin and testosterone in the blood serum of women with polycystic ovary syndrome was observed compared to the healthy population .
