Abstract
The study of political behavior and behavior occupies an important position in the studies of political sociology and political psychology. As for political authority in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, it has inclinations, trends, and positions that lead to its political behavior. In addition, there is a group of determinants that can determine the political behavior of the authority. Politics in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The most prominent of these determinants is the presence of political opposition, the socio-cultural determinants, the security concern determinant, the economic determinant, the media determinant, and the regional and international determinant. Although it can be noted that the tendencies and trends of the political authority in the Kurdistan Region are towards establishing a pluralistic democratic system, and this is clear in its decisions and officials’ statements, on the ground and based on the behavior adopted by the political authority in the Kurdistan Region, it has totalitarian tendencies that tend towards totalitarianism and political inheritance, which is The result of the psychological aspect, previous experiences, and the historical background of the internal and external conflict.
