Abstract
The technological revolution and the tremendous developments it has brought about in our contemporary world in various fields have become an indispensable societal necessity for people, especially on social networking sites - Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter - which are considered the main engine through which people exchange their cultures, news and life matters. We do not exaggerate that We said that it has become like food and drink that all people need daily, and in view of this need and the increasing use of these sites. If there is legal awareness surrounding and warning about this use, and this use is taken into account in an optimal and correct manner, and it is misused in a way that does not achieve the desired benefit from it, In this case, the risks resulting from it emerge, and perhaps the most important of these risks are: spreading rumors that may cause confusion and instability in society in general, and may also disrupt the security, rights, and privacy of the individual in particular, which requires that there be legal awareness and awareness about the legal rules that condemn these actions. It provides preventive protection to the individual from these risks to prevent the occurrence of liability-generating harm. This is done by establishing a legal regulation that regulates publishing on social media sites and determines the responsibility of the publisher, similar to other countries that have established special information laws for this phenomenon.
