Abstract
Undisclosed information, also known as trade secrets, is information that may be legally protected from being acquired or used by others without the consent of its owner and in a manner that violates sound commercial practices. Undisclosed information provides protection for its owners, whether they are natural or legal persons, and its protection may be through a contractual method. Or not contractual. After the issuance of Amendment No. 81 of 2004 amending the Patent and Industrial Models Law No. (65) of 1970, the issue of defining the concept of undisclosed information and the standards for its protection, identifying its legal system and legislative shortcomings has become an urgent and extremely important issue, and the claim to protect undisclosed information in particular and intellectual property rights in general is of great importance. In this area, the subject of research will be in Iraqi law with other comparative laws whenever necessary, with a review of all available opinions and ideas on the subject, analyzing them and reaching the appropriate legal results for the subject of research by citing judicial rulings related to the subject as the mirror that reflects the reality of the study, and in light of the existence of national legislation and international agreements that have addressed the subject of undisclosed information
