Abstract
Electronic sports are currently one of the sports that have increased demand at the present time and have received great promotion, especially during the Corona pandemic period, where freedoms were restricted due to quarantine, which led to the sports environment differing from the traditional environment that requires the presence of a stadium on the ground to play and the presence of players and physical effort, as it is done through electronic means and a virtual stadium different from the traditional reality. South Korea is the first launch of these games, but it lacks any comprehensive legal organization in Iraq, especially since the Iraqi National Olympic Committee recognized these games when approving the establishment of the Electronic Sports Federation on 6/3/2023 after the Iraqi Federations Law of 1986 did not include intellectual sports and the possibility of establishing a special federation for them, and it had recognized this sport, which is a different sport from sports that require physical effort such as football and basketball, as it relies mainly on electronic devices, digital simulation and virtual reality.
