| Abstract | ||
| Transitional justice is one of the modern movements that links justice, peace, democracy, and collective memory, and is a compromise option that embraces the contradictions of the revolutionary momentum while ensuring the continuity of part of the components of the old system, as a political truce that includes stabilizing the new political situation. Transitional justice actors in Tunisia have tried to absorb the tensions that accompanied the change, and reproduce them in a narrative that enjoys national consensus. They have included the basic constants and foundations about which there is no disagreement, such as reforms, compensation for victims, shaping their memories, and trying the accused to establish national reconciliation, as among the foundations of the work of responsible actors. Moreover, it can be said that its performance outcome was weak at times, while it succeeded in other important aspects, as the path was difficult and was prevented by a number of objective obstacles. | ||
