Abstract
Maritime transport at the present time is one of the most important basic pillars in the economy, as it is one of the tributaries of sustainable development, as it is one of the financial returns that generate profits for companies and countries, and it has become a very effective economic sector in the service of internal and external international trade of the countries of the world, as it generates huge funds to the economies of countries, As far as Iraq is concerned, the ports represent a strategic importance for the Iraqi economy related to the problem of limited sea view in the Iraq, which makes the development and construction of new ports an important factor for the Iraqi economy, and in this context comes the project to establish the large port of Faw and the land road as one of the large projects in the Iraq directly affecting In the possibility of advancing Iraqi society economically and politically and making Iraq within the circle of international attention.
