Abstract
The research aimed to find out “the effectiveness of the snowball rolling strategy in achieving biology for fourth year science students and developing their scientific survey.” The research sample consisted of two groups, one experimental (37) students and the other a control group (39) fourth year science students. The researcher needed to build a tool for the test. Achievement score consisting of (30) multiple-choice items for the three chapters of the biology textbook for the fourth scientific grade. To measure the students’ ability to develop scientific inquiry, the researcher adopted the scale (Campbell, 1996), which consists of (6) groups, each group has (5) items. Each item has three alternatives, and after procedures for validity, reliability, difficulty coefficient, discrimination, and effectiveness of the alternatives, the two scales are ready to be applied to the students of both groups. The statistical results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group in achievement and development of the scientific survey, and the researcher presented a number of conclusions, suggestions, and recommendations.
