Abstract
The study aims to: Identify the relationship between core competencies and talent management in football academies in Nineveh Governorate from the perspective of administrative and technical staff members. The researchers used the descriptive survey method for its suitability and the nature of the research. The study community included the administrative and technical staff members in accredited football academies in Nineveh Governorate, totaling 211 members distributed across 31 academies. The study sample was intentionally selected, consisting of 179 administrative and technical members representing 31 football academies. The researchers used a core competencies tool prepared based on scientific foundations as a study tool. They also relied on a talent management tool prepared by (Al-Azzawi, 2020) and modified by the researchers. The tool was then applied to a sample of 40 administrative and technical members. The data was processed using the SPSS statistical package through percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Spearman-Brown formula, Guttman formula, Cronbach's alpha, t-test for two independent samples, significance level (sig), and correlation coefficient (r). The researchers concluded: There is a positive correlation between core competencies and talent management among the administrative and technical staff members in football academies in Nineveh Governorate. The researchers recommended: Paying attention to providing the necessary core competencies that would enhance talent management capabilities in football academies. Conducting further study and studies on core competencies and talent management in football academies.
