Abstract
This research aims to study the role of oversight institutions in achieving transparency in public administration, by analyzing the importance of oversight as a tool to enhance integrity, combat corruption, and ensure the optimal use of public resources. The research addresses the role of oversight institutions in detecting administrative violations, evaluating government performance, and submitting periodic reports that contribute to raising the level of transparency and trust between the government and society. The research also reviews the challenges facing these institutions in performing their role effectively, and proposes strategies to enhance and develop oversight mechanisms in line with administrative and legal developments. Transparency in public administration is one of the main factors that affect the effectiveness of government institutions and their ability to achieve development goals. Despite the great importance of transparency, many institutions face major challenges in implementing its principles. These challenges include the spread of corruption and mismanagement, in addition to weak oversight and accountability mechanisms. Therefore, the research problem is raised about how oversight institutions can enhance their role in achieving transparency in public administration, and what are the obstacles that prevent this. The study also seeks to explore the impact of these institutions on improving administrative performance and enhancing trust between citizens and government agencies.
