Abstract
The study was carried out in plant laboratory – Department of Biology , College of Science , Kufa University . The study aimed to determined the chemical content of plant parts( Root ,Leaves, Stems and Flowers ) of genus Amaranthus caudatus L.The results explained that there are Sixe chemical compounds which were differ in their color and Rf . The first and second compounds were found in root where some color was violet and yellow .The three Compound Was found in the stem. The leaves had two chemical compounds (4,5) and their colors were clear violet while the sixth compound appeared in flower extract , with different Rf . and the color . the study of ecology showed that the species Amaranthus caudatus L. grew at different soil types such as sand , stone and desert . In concern to the distribution study of this genus indicate that it has been found in ten region of Iraq . Pollen grains of Species Caudatus were found to be Dicolporeat and smooth surface with a little Taxonomic value.
