Abstract
Amid the rapid transformations witnessed by contemporary societies as a result of the digital revolution, artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the most prominent technological innovations, bringing about fundamental changes across various aspects of life, including education, work, social interaction, and beyond. With the increasing reliance on this technology, signs of a phenomenon known as "technological addiction" or "digital addiction" have begun to take shape. In this context, technology has transcended its role as a mere supportive tool to become, in certain cases, a dominant force that exerts significant influence over individual behavior. Among the concerning negative consequences of excessive engagement with this form of technology is the potential correlation between the overuse of artificial intelligence and the rise in certain forms of criminal behavior. This may occur through the facilitation of crimes via smart platforms or through the psychological and cognitive effects that may lead individuals toward deviant behavior.
