The national symbolism of political discourse and its impact on the trends of Arab political culture

Abstract
This study aims to explore the role of national symbolism in Arab political discourse and its impact on shaping political culture, The study examines national symbols as key tools that reflect national identity and enhance political legitimacy, focusing on their evolution from the past to the present, In historical contexts, religious and tribal symbols such as the Islamic Caliphate and tribal leadership emerged, while the modern era saw the rise of new symbols like the flag, national anthem, and national landmarks, The study illustrates how national symbols are employed to strengthen unity and belonging, as well as their role in supporting central issues such as religion and the Palestinian cause, The study concludes by analyzing the impact of these symbols in shaping Arab cultural and political orientations. The method of content analysis was adopted, the inductive method by knowing the extent of the spread of this phenomenon at the level of Arab countries and how it turned into a situation that includes most of them, if not all countries. Through the problem and hypothesis, the research was divided into three sections in addition to the introduction and conclusion, which contain the most important conclusions. The first section: addressed a theoretical framework for the research terms, the second section: how national symbolism affects Arab political culture, and the third section: between the changes of national symbolism in Arab political discourse.
