Abstract
Food security is one of the most significant challenges facing human life, as it is linked to securing sufficient quantities of healthy food for all to ensure a decent life. However, the pursuit of this goal is increasingly hampered by wars and conflicts that obstruct food transportation, resulting in severe food shortages and skyrocketing prices worldwide. The Ukrainian war has significantly exacerbated the global food crisis, given the vital role played by Ukraine and Russia in the production of grains, oils and fertilizers. With tensions escalating and the flow of supplies halted, communities around the world, especially in developing countries, face increasing risks to their food security. This calls for urgent international action to mitigate the effects of this disaster. The research problem is evident in the devastating impact of wars, especially the Ukrainian war, on the stability of global food security. These conflicts have destabilized supply chains and caused an unprecedented rise in food prices, which has widened the food gap in developing countries. The research raises a fundamental question: How did the Ukrainian war contribute to the exacerbation of the global food crisis, and what are the available ways to mitigate the impact of these devastating effects?
