Abstract
Aims: The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the allopathic learning model on the achievement of first-year intermediate students in the Holy Quran and Islamic Education and the development of their persuasive thinking. Methods: The current research adopted the descriptive approach in collecting data and the experimental approach in applying the experiment on 66 students distributed equally between an experimental group taught by allopathic teaching and an experimental group taught by the traditional method. The researcher then prepared two tests: the first is an achievement test consisting of 40 multiple-choice items, and the second is a test of deductive thinking consisting of 20 items. The psychometric properties were tested, including the validity and reliability of the two research tools. Results: After statistical analysis of all the data using appropriate statistical methods, the results indicated that the tools are statistically sound. The results also showed that the experimental group had more achievement and persuasive thinking than the control group. Conclusions: A set of recommendation and suggestion were then proposed.
