| The current research was carried out to verify the role of AgNo3 on the germination and seed growth of leucaena leucocephala trees, its effects on the seedlings varied from stem height, root length, number of vegetative branches and leaves. Concentrations were used (12,10,8,6,4). 2) mg / liter, MS+(2 mg / liter) of AgNo3 worked on seeds germination faster compared to MS without silver nitrate. continued growth of seedlings that germinated on MS with different concentrations of AgNo3 led to a variation in response of these seedlings in terms, stem length, root length of the seedling, best concentration of AgNo3 is (2 mg/liter) as it gave a stem length of 8.6 cm while in MSO medium, length of the stem was (6.0) cm. When determining root length of seedling, we found a variation of Root lengths were (4.8, 2.0 and 3.0) cm for concentrations (6 mg, 12 mg and MSO medium), respectively. As for the branches that arose after cotyledon leaves and number of leaves for these branches, it also varied ,the concentration (8 mg / liter) exceeded the rest, as it was (6.0 and 13) branch and leafs numbers respectively. Compared with MSO medium, which gave (3.0 and 10) branch and leaves numbers respectively. |
