| Abstract | ||
| Traditional methods of diplomatic work no longer address critical and emerging issues around the world, especially those related to water. Therefore, practical practice between countries has taken a new path in finding unconventional diplomatic mechanisms, including blue diplomacy, which has become a practical practice on the ground due to the desire of countries to cooperate on files that constitute the core of their internal security. Blue diplomacy countries have relied on the practical practices of international organizations to achieve the goals of international water cooperation, as countries have developed water cooperation among themselves, especially in managing the water problems of transboundary rivers, or in the field of transferring scientific technologies to purify and desalinate water and rationalize its use. One of the most important problems facing water diplomacy is the individual desires of countries to achieve their water interests in an exaggerated manner and not engaging in diplomatic cooperation to find solutions that achieve the interests of the parties concerned, in addition to the increasing problems resulting from climate change, which has constituted a strain on all water files, which requires greater coordination to confront them between countries, but the concept remains modern and new and needs a lot of practical practice to take its full dimensions. | ||
