| Abstract | ||
| This research examines the importance of the Nile Basin region in Egyptian foreign policy، as it is a vital geopolitical axe that directly impacts Egypt's stability and national security. This region occupies a strategic position stemming from Egypt's near-total dependence on the waters of the Nile River، making it a decisive factor in determining foreign policy priorities. The research seeks to analyze the geographical، political، and economic dimensions of relations between Egypt and the Nile Basin countries، focusing on water issues and resource security، and their impact on Egypt's regional and international positions. The research assumes a close connection between Egyptian foreign policy and the Nile Basin region، manifested in Egyptian policies aimed at securing water flow and addressing challenges associated with the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and other regional projects. The research relies on an analytical and historical approach to trace the development of Egyptian relations with the basin countries and analyze official and regional positions. It also seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of how Egyptian political decisions regarding this region are formulated and how they interact with geopolitical variables in a manner that preserves national security and enhances Egypt's regional role. | ||
