| Morphological studies received the attention of the first Arabic scholars, and were linked to the science of grammar. Morphological studies were independent at the hands of later scholars in the fourth century AH, such as Al-Mazni and Ibn Jinni. The book of Sibawayh is one of the important books that has reached us - and still is - the inexhaustible source for those who practice linguistic studies, and what we will explain in This research examines the concept of status, which was frequently repeated in his famous book, in addition to many terms that were unique to others, such as: (flow, dead, alive, status, and other terms. We will clarify the morphological status in his book on the subject of diminution and explain the concept of diminution and its purposes, paving the way for an explanation.
