Abstract
Russia has played a significant role in sub-Saharan Africa since 2014, and has motives and goals it seeks to achieve, with motives and goals it seeks to achieve. This research aims to focus on the goals, tools, and areas of this role that Russia exercised in this region after 2014. With the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis and the imposition of Western sanctions, Russia sought to expand its role in sub-Saharan Africa, seeking new global outlets and a space to exercise its role and break its isolation. Russia adopted a set of goals that it sought to achieve, using a variety of tools. Based on both the descriptive and analytical approaches, it became clear that there was a gradual expansion of the Russian role in the sub-Saharan Africa region after 2014, and in all fields. Russia has achieved an influential political and diplomatic role through its involvement in the region, its security and military penetration, and its significant economic gains. This has raised concerns in the West and weakened its influence in region due to the expansion of Russia's role there.
