| Abstract | ||
| This research attempts to survey the evolutionary trajectory of the concept of sovereignty, starting from the establishment of the nation-state after the Treaty of Westphalia, through the Cold War and the beginning of the globalization era, and culminating in the post-state phase. This is achieved by analyzing the stages the concept has undergone and then diagnosing the main factors that contributed to the shift in the connotations of sovereignty. After dominating all aspects of the state, the concept began to decline with the Cold War and the onset of globalization. These issues evolved with the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the transformation in the concept of sovereignty became particularly clear with the emergence of the post-state phase. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the research is divided into two sections. The first section discusses the concept of sovereignty under the nation-state, while the second section explains sovereignty in the post-state phase. | ||
