Abstract
The body is one of the fundamental elements that shape human identity, for it is through the body that a person expresses the self and existence in this world. Although it is material in essence, the body carries both spirit and meaning. At the same time, it can become a constraint upon the soul—suppressing it and limiting its release. Thus, the experience of the body may either serve as a means for self-realization and connection with truth or as a path to alienation and loss. The more intense the bodily awareness, the stronger the sense of fragmentation and separation of the self, which makes the experience of bodily dissolution a path toward spiritual liberation and union with the supreme meaning. The body is not merely a vessel for the soul but rather a constant field of struggle between the tendencies of elevation and decline. Through this struggle, human destiny is determined—either by rising toward the horizons of meaning or by sinking into the captivity of materiality. In this way, the value of the body is revealed as a passage toward uncovering the true essence of human existence.
