| Abstract | ||
| Although physiognomy is one of the oldest sciences and is used in various fields, today it has its role and influence on society in general and individuals in particular, because humans have five senses and a visual sense, while the sixth sense is unknown, and since the cultural context has an influence and effectiveness. The influence and effectiveness in this text stems from the fact that humans are by nature social beings and communication is part of natural life and the meaning goes beyond linguistic communication. This research deals with the meaning from a literary perspective in general and the poetic text Goran (Darwish Abdullah) in particular, in order to read the face and internal actions of Darwish through the character of Darwish drawn by Goran. The first part deals with the concept of physiognomy, its definition and characteristics. The first part deals with the history of physiognomy, its role, importance, benefits and characteristics, while the second part deals with physiognomy and its types mentioned in the text and gives the necessary examples | ||
