| Abstract | ||
| Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are the backbone of modern life, permeating all aspects of existence, particularly in the management of security institutions. These institutions, being service providers, are obligated to deliver essential services to members of society. The use of AI applications is crucial due to their unique characteristics and advantages, which alleviate numerous human challenges. Consequently, their application has increased significantly in recent times, especially within security organizations. This has led to a surge in the production of smart devices, machines, and systems by specialists, who have further developed these devices to the point of making them more human-like. This development in smart devices and the increased demand for them have significant legal implications. Therefore, it is essential to establish a legal framework that defines the concept of AI applications, clarifies the nature of these applications, highlights the intended benefits of their use, and addresses liability for damages caused by these internally and externally developed systems and machines. Currently, Iraqi legislation does not explicitly define the concept of AI and its role in achieving public security. The most important finding of the study is that artificial intelligence applications play a vital role in organizing public security in Baghdad. This is achieved by utilizing these applications for intelligent monitoring and analyzing data and behaviors to improve the sustainability of this security apparatus. The most important recommendation of the study urge security agencies to increase the knowledge of their personnel regarding artificial intelligence applications to achieve the highest level of security. | ||
