| Abstract | ||
| Statelessness is one of the most important issues in the scope of private international law, due to the significant negative effects it has on a stateless person in all aspects of his life in society. However, the issue becomes more complicated and its severity increases when the statelessness is related to young children. The negative effects surrounding them due to the lack of statelessness are not limited to the family and social sphere, but extend to the security sphere, as this age group becomes easy prey for exploitation by organized gangs through their use and exploitation in various ways and forms to implement their organized criminal plans.The legal legislations of countries have been accustomed to developing laws that address all types of child exploitation, and Iraq is one of these countries. Therefore, we discuss the subject through two chapters in which we explain the concept of the child in general and the stateless child in particular, the methods of his exploitation and the means of legal protection to prevent his falling into exploitation in the armed conflict. Citizenship constitutes a document of protection for its holder. It is not merely a civil identity defining an individual's identity within society. Rather, it is a guarantee of the protection of all their rights under national and international legislation, and a legal framework for security monitoring and tracking should the individual fall into the realm of criminal danger, , | ||
