| Abstract | ||
| The current research aims to identify the effect of the concept sorting strategy on the acquisition of Islamic concepts among first-year intermediate students and the development of their deductive thinking. The researcher selected a sample of (60) first-year intermediate students, who were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group included (30) students and studied according to the concept sorting strategy, while the control group included (30) students who studied according to the traditional method. The researcher prepared a concept acquisition test consisting of (40) items, and verified its validity and reliability. He also prepared a deductive thinking scale consisting of (22) items. Using the statistical method (T-test) for two independent samples, the results were extracted. The study yielded the following results: 1. There was a statistically significant difference at the (0.05) level between the average scores of students in the experimental group who studied according to the concept sorting strategy and students in the control group who studied according to the traditional method in the Islamic concepts acquisition test. 2. There is a statistically significant difference at the (0.05) level between the average scores of the pre- and post-tests of the experimental and control groups on the deductive reasoning scale. | ||
