Abstract
The aim of the research is to understand the importance of organic fertilizers from banana peels (banana) and basil extract fertilizers on the active compounds and yield characteristics of fenugreek plants. the experiment was conducted in the field in the Al-Sadda district – Al Mahnaweiah village during the 2024 -2025 agricultural season. The experiment was designed according to the complete randomized block design as a factorial experiment (2 × 4 × 3) , Two treatments with three replicates and four concentrations of the first factor :organic fertilizers from banana peels (banana) and second factor basil extract follows: (0, 5% , 10% 15% ). the plant samples were collected from the intermediate plants of each unit on 24/4/2025, meaning the plants were fully harvested after ripening to measure the components and yield characteristics. Studied traits (pods numbers pods plant-1 ,seeds number seed pods-1 Quercetin, Diosgenin, and Trigonelinethe oil the results indicate a significant difference when combining basil and banana peels at a concentration of 15% for pods numbers pods plant-1 ,seeds number seed pods-1, Quercetin, Diosgenin and Trigoneline with an average rate of (17.98 pods plant-1, 15.87 seed pods-1, 30.76%, 33.98% and33.76% compared to the control (11.65 pods plant-1, 6.65, 18.65 seed pods-1, 23.76and 24.65) , conclusion the interaction treatment (basil + banana peels at 15%) outperformed the individual treatments in all studied traits , these treatments can be adopted as sustainable natural alternatives to reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers and improve crop quality.
