| Abstract | ||
| This research examines sustainable forest management within the framework of the International Tropical Timber Agreement of 2006, with particular attention to the preservation of the tropical forest ecosystem. The study highlights the interconnection between sustainable timber use and environmental conservation both are interrelated topics that contribute to the creation of an ideal international trade that maintains the controls and standards of sustainable timber use in addition to maintaining environmental standards. The rules of sustainable forest management outlined in the International Tropical Timber Agreement act are grounded in international principles that ensure the needs of both present and future generations are met. These rules emphasize the preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of forest ecosystems, the prevention of illegal logging, and the establishment of mechanisms to combat the illegal timber trade. In addition, the agreement guides member states to adopt national policies that prioritize environmental protection and maintain the ecological balance of forests. | ||
