| . Abstract A study was conducted on some physical and chemical properties of Al-Gharaf river water in Thi - Qar governorate to know the changes that were happened on the some physical and chemical properties of the river. Water samples were collected from one region in the southern of Gharaf city along one year from January to December 2009 . Some physical properties as (pH) and (EC) were measured , chemical properties represented by total dissolved solid (TDS) , total hardness (T.H) and the concentrations of positive ions such as ( Ca++ and Mg ++) and negative ions such as (Cl- , SO4= , NO3= and PO4≡ ) in addition to oil were measured too . The concentrations of chemical properties were estimated by mg / l . | ||
