Study of lipid profile in serum male and female water buffalo in some regions of Al-Hammar marsh / South Iraq | ||

| .الكلمات المفتاحية :br /> According to rare or decrease of the studies related with water buffaloes in marshes of Iraq, the present study aimed to confirm the basic values of lipid profile(Cholesterol , Triglycerides, LDL, LDH,VLDL) of male and female water buffalo in Al-Hammar marsh / south of Iraq . Hundred blood samples were collected from sites (Um- Alwada, Al-Nawashi and Muraidiah ) belong to Al – Hammar marsh / south of Iraq . The samples included 52 males and 48 females with different age periods : the first group (one day -3months ) of age , the second group (4 months -6 months) of age , the third group (7 month – 12 months ) of age , and the fourth group (more than 12 month ) of age . The results showed that Cholesterol level and LDL influenced significantly (p<0.05) by each age and sex by dominant of male on female and interaction between age and sex . The level of Triglycerides and LDH influenced significantly (p< 0.05 ) by age and interaction between age and sex and effect of sex by dominant of female on male . The level of VLDL non affected by sex and age and interaction between them . Key words : lipid profile , Water buffalo , Marshes of Iraq . | ||
