Abstract
The Iraqi media since the US occupation of Iraq in 2003, a quick and massive developments in the field of production, distribution and reception of media messages. The growing interest among researchers General Humanities media scholars, in particular, about the media institutions efforts in the community to face the flood flow and unbalanced from the developed countries of the North to the South redneck who holds hope and a threat at the same time for governments and citizens all over the world. The audience research of important research to get to know the audience habits in media exposure and how to use it and preferred and most important motives derived from the exposure and the use of these means, especially since the media's mission is to identify the real needs of the public and satisfy his desires, and when the media succeed in satisfying these needs it ensure turnout and response. Also, this research important because the importance of knowing echo in the media, knowing the reactions to what makes an important audience for planners and decision-makers to modify messages, or make them compatible with the recipient public, and increase this importance when linked to an audience of young people, which is the pillar of society and hope for a better future . The importance of this research as well as from the fact that university youth participant and effectively used the media to achieve the intended goals as well as the public that this is the one who chooses the means and content that suits him and the insatiable needs. This is why the inferred prevailing cultural norms come through the use of the public to the media rather than through the messages provided by the media content. According to this perception, the media and communication process in Iraq is an urgent need to research the public of its importance in the planning, implementation and follow-up process based on scientific foundations and elements necessary for that process.
