| Abstract | ||
| Diabetes it is lead to problem in eye (Retinopathy), the sialic acid affected on the development and course of microangiopathy. The present study included 100 patients with diabetic retinopathy. They were included 58 patients with non insulin depended diabetes mellitus and 42 patients with insulin depended diabetes mellitus. This study included measurement of fasting serum sialic acid and blood sugar levels of diabetic retinopathy patients. Higher significant differences in type 1 than type2 occur. A according sex groups, there was significant differences between male than the female in both types in the mean of total sialic acid level. | ||
