| Abstract | ||
| The present study is conducted to evaluate creatine kinas, glucose level, and protein concentrationactivity, in CSF of patients with meningitis in comparison with their levels in healthy persons duringthe period from the first of February to the last of Augest 2005. The aim of the study is to providefurther information about the relationship between meningitis and creatine kinase activity. In additionglucose and protein CSF concentration had also been evaluated in both groups.Twenty eight samples of CSF were collected; 10 samples represented the control group whose rangebetween (1-13) years and 18 samples were represented the patients with meningitis group whoserange between (1-10) years. Creatine kinase activity appeared significantly higher in patients withmeningitis in comparison with normal individuals. It is also found that CSF protein is higher and CSFglucose is lower in infected than in the control group. | ||
