| Abstract | ||
| A case series study was done on sixty-two patients in pediatrics teaching hospitals over two years with short stature of both sexes their ages ranging 3-15 years, history was taken and clinical examinations were done for all. The height of each child was put on the growth chart, usual lab. tests were done endocrine causes were excluded from our study, the results had shown that the main age group was between 6-12 years. There were thirty males and thirty-two females; gastrointestinal tract diseases specially malabsorption and malnutrition were the commonest chronic problems causing short stature in our study, so growth assessment is crucial in the evaluation of all children and growth abnormalities should be never ignored in population of children having other significant health problems | ||
