| Abstract | ||
| District team problem –solving , is a process through which team learn a "bottom line" approach with aim of achieving a better health status of the population by optimal use of resources and proper data collection about any health problem. Iraq adapting DTPS from 1996 with WHO collaboration & because of embargo that Iraq subjected to many health problems which affected its population so need emerge to solve these problems locally by adapting this technique through enhancing decentralization policy that is why this study was carried in order to achieve certain objectives like the study the role of this technique in improving health management at all level of health facilities in Iraq and finally to advice for future plane to strength management capabilities at district level This study carried out through the period of 6 months from first of February till 30 of June 2002 to evaluate the impact of District Team Problem Solving Approach (DTPS) on improving the managerial skills of health workers who were attending workshops of this approach , by direct interview by applying certain form designed for this purposes include items about knowledge ,skills related to data collection ,data analysis ,design plane to solve problem that occurring in their community through solutions that not require additional resources and by improving intersectoral collaboration , the answers weighted according scores , the sample size was 250 health workers from different health facilities services in 15 governorates including Baghdad. 120 health workers who trained in planning and evaluating workshops to solved health problems in comparison with 130 health workers who not trained on this approach matching in job description and duration of employment, the results of this study revealed that there was a significant difference between both groups regarding the differences in knowledge and skills in dealing with health information and management at the level of district. So adaptation of decentralization approach in health management through applying District Team Problem Solving Approach is the best solution for health management improvement in our country | ||
