| Abstract | ||
| Obesity in children is common& is increasing. Breast feeding has many health benefits, however the role of breast feeding in preventing obesity in children is inconclusive. This is across sectional observational study conducted at Tikrit Teaching Hospital which include 110 children with age range (1-11) years. Body mass index was calculated, statistical analysis were utilized by using both descriptive & analytical statistical methods. Student test was used to determine the significance difference between variables. Breast fed children was 67% of the total, According to gender, male was 79% of the total. There was a small differences in Body Mass Index between breast fed& bottle fed children but these results does not reach statistical significance except the difference in the age group (8-11) years which was | ||
