Abstract
In this research, Anthraquinone was prepared from the oxidation of anthracene(obtained from coal tar) by sodium perchlorate in presence ofvanadium pentoxide asa catalyst in a good yield and high purity. Anthraquinone was formulated as awettable powder (w.p.) to prepare a bird repellent pesticide, which leave no toxicresidue in crop plants.
