| Abstract | ||
| The enriched methanolic extract from unripe fruits of Melia zedarach was used fordiet treatment of Spo;doptera' cilium latebrosa. Artificial diets were tr*t.O *itf,concentrations of 0.25,0.5, 1.0,5.0, 10.0 and 15.0 ppm. Starting with 3'd instar,mortality percentage were 33.3, 45.8;75.0 and 100% at the'concentrations 0.5, 1.0,5.0 and 10.0 ppm respectively. Residual activity was high toxic during one-day-old atthe higher concentrations 10.0 and 15.0 ppm. Duration of the life cycle was iffectedby diet treatment; larval and pupal periods were prolonged, while that of prepupashortend. The extract lost its residual toxicity by the 8tlt day after treatment. | ||
